Paint

When buying paints it is important to choose the correct type. The manual (if building a Tamiya kit) will show what colour and type of paint is required for each part. We sell the full range of Tamiya paints; these can be found under the Model Accessories menu. Below is a list of the Tamiya paint ranges and what each one is suitable for:

AS - Aircraft Spray - A synthetic lacquer paint suitable for hard plastic parts. This range was designed primarily for use on model aircraft.

MS - Mini Spray - A synthetic lacquer paint suitable for hard plastic parts. This range was designed primarily for use on the Tamiya Mini 4WD models and contains some vibrant colours not available in the TS range. PS - Polycarbonate Sprays – Suitable for clear Polycarbonate bodies used on R/C models.

PC - Polycarbonate Brush on Paint – Suitable for clear Polycarbonate bodies used on R/C models.

TS – Colour Spray Paint – A synthetic lacquer paint suitable for hard plastic parts.

X – Mini Acrylic Paint – Excellent for either brush or spray painting and suitable for most model plastics, for example, styrol resin and Styrofoam.
